You might not be flying in on your hover car just yet but when this icon of Googie architetcure opened back in the 1961 I am sure they thought it was not that far away. Looking like it could be from an outpost on the moon, shining brightly in the sky behind it, this futuristic motel typifies the architecture and fashion of the time which was influenced by the space race.
